Head of Global Security, Eni
Alfio Rapisarda has been working at Eni since September 2002, holding different positions in Italy and abroad in both corporate security and human resources management.
He began his career in 1982 by attending the Guardia di Finanza Academy and was then assigned to positions of increasing responsibility for twenty years, rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel, mainly engaged in the fight against economic crime, drug trafficking and organised crime. During this period, Rapisarda was also involved in intelligence activities in the field of counter-terrorism and terrorist financing within the Prime Minister’s Office, collaborating extensively with counterpart institutions abroad.
In 2002, he joined Eni as head of the Group’s security policies and standards, implementing new international best practices for Eni and its subsidiaries worldwide.
In 2007, he moved to Houston (USA) as Head of Security for the Americas, Asia and Oceania and, subsequently, in 2009, to Africa as Head of Human Resources and Organization in Tunisia. At the end of 2011, he was appointed Vice President of Human Resources for the Americas, Asia and Oceania in Eni’s Upstream sector.
He holds degrees in Law and in Economic and Financial Security Sciences, as well as a master’s degree in security management from Bocconi University. He is a university lecturer and speaker at conferences in the field of intelligence and corporate security.
