Eng. Luigi Ballarano graduated, cum laude, in 2002 in Computer Engineering from the University of Naples
Federico II.

In over 20 years of experience, he has implemented complex technological projects and Cyber Security
programs, consolidating a significant experience of more than ten years as Security & Cyber Security Senior
Manager.

During his professional career, he has developed, managed and coordinated the following Security
Operations Rooms of Terna S.p.A.: the Computer Emergency Readiness Team – CERT and the Security
Operations Center – SOC H24 7/7. He also had responsibilities in the following central presidium areas at
Group level: Cyber Risk Management & Policies, Cyber Security Architectures & Engineering, Cyber Security
Assessment & Ethical Hacking, Data Protection & Privacy, Cyber Security Awareness & Cooperation, Cyber
Resilience Strategy & OT Security.

He is a member of Advisory Boards, Scientific Committees and Expert Groups relevant in the national and
international Cyber Security landscape.

He is the author of publications on Cyber topics, teaches at University Masters (I, II level), and contributes as
a speaker to national and international conferences.
