Martina Campanella is a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics and Management (DMMM) of the Polytechnic University of Bari. Her research focuses on the study and optimization of metal forming processes, with particular interest in superplastic forming (SPF) and the thermomechanical modeling of bulk and sheet forming operations.

The main goal of her work is to enhance geometrical accuracy and structural performance through a numerical–experimental approach combining FEM simulations and experimental validation.

She is also involved in the manufacturing of sheet-metal chassis for high-performance applications, particularly in the underwater and aerospace sectors, developing innovative design solutions and materials that combine lightweight efficiency, strength, and sustainability.
