CEO di EOSS, Prysmian

Roberto Candela, born in 1970, earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Palermo in 1996, then joined the Electrotechnics research group.

Since 2004 he has been a researcher at the same university, teaching Basic Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, and Fundamentals of Computer Science.

His studies focus on optimization methods for diagnosing high-voltage dielectric materials and on processing partial discharge signals.

In 2006 he patented a wireless sensor to measure them, the basis of the Pry-Cam product. Since 2012 he has been CEO of Prysmian Electronics, which under his leadership developed 25 patents and advanced solutions for energy asset management.

In 2022 the company became EOSS, a Prysmian Group business unit dedicated to optoelectronic monitoring. The acquisition of Omnisens SA in 2021 expanded the technological portfolio, consolidating EOSS as a leader in diagnostic and monitoring solutions.
